Greetings! Experience God’s Voice and Leading I continue to pray you would experience God’s voice and leading in a very personal way as we go through the book of Psalms. I want to encourage you to make reading through the Psalms a part of your daily times with God. A Calling to be Ministers of the Good News of Jesus Something I have been sensing from God over the past week or so is it is time to prepare for the future and new wineskins He is establishing. As we continue to recover from this pandemic, it is clear to me the world has changed and it will never be the same. There will be a new “normal” for all of us, including the family of God called the church. Over the past few months, God has been showing us very clearly that church is who we are, not a place we go. He is showing us that each of us has a very important role in the body of Christ as we bless, fellowship, minister and proclaim the good news of Jesus to everyone in the world around us. We are all called to be ministers, ministers of the good news of Jesus. Romans 15:14-17 Romans 15:14-17 exhorts and challenges us as followers of Jesus. “But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That’s why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God!” (The Message)
Sharing Her Step of Faith - Michelle Funai
A great example of how we all go and share with others the good things of God, according to how God has shaped us is Michelle Funai. Michelle is a math teacher at Roosevelt High School and an avid foodie. Recently, she felt God’s leading to step out in faith to do something that was definitely outside her comfort zone. As a result, we have a number of new businesses who will be blessed as people pray for them, patronize and support them and promote their businesses. Thank you, Michelle! Let’s all follow her example and ask God to use us to truly be the church in the world around us in whatever way He desires. We may not all be able to do big and great things, but we can all do small things with great love and allow God to use us to change the world!
